-CHARACTER APPLICATION-

Planet Wrestling is looking for creative, innovative, original roleplayers and characters. We ask that you put some thought into your character creation as you complete the application. Handlers interested in signing up a new wrestler must fill out both parts of this application and send it to the Presidents. Do this by simply copying and pasting it into an e-mail, then sending it in upon completion, with a subject header of "PW APPLICATION".

Provided that your character is accepted, "Part One" of the application will be displayed as a profile on the Roster page, while "Part Two" of the application will only ever be seen by the Presidents and priviledged members of the PW Staff.

Note that all sections of the application must be completed unless otherwise stated (this ESPECIALLY includes the sample roleplay). If a section does not apply to your wrestler, please indicate this with a response of "n/a" or "none".

For any tag team applying, we ask for you to send in individual applications, one for each wrestler. Same goes for anyone wishing to sign in a stable of wrestlers.

Once you and your character(s) are accepted, you should receive e-mail confirmation (this may take a maximum of two weeks, though it will usually only be a few days at most), which will be followed by a letter of acceptance or refusal (this can take a week or two on occasion... but we try to answer all sensible applications as promptly as possible, usually within a few days).

Once you are accepted, you will begin to receive PW Updates as well as roleplays via e-mail from the rest of the PW players/ e-wrestlers since your name will also be added to the flash link. Keep in mind that we can change any of your charatcer's information upon your request (though please be patient when it comes to changes and updates).

Anyone interested in applying as a staff member, please go to the Staff page.

NOTE: Before starting to fill out your application please take time to look through the important pages listed on the Planet Wrestling Orientation page. It can be incredibly frustrating to constantly get questions from newcomers about information they should already be familiar with. Take particular note of the information on the Planet Wrestling Universe page and the Rules page. The other pages may also be beneficial for you to look at -- For instance, if you wish to really stand out, and don't want a gimmick that's very similar to one already existing in Planet Wrestling, then it is reccomended that you read over the profiles listed on our Roster page..

Once you are a member of Planet Wrestling, you will be expected to keep up with the happenings of the federation: that is, the flashes, the cards, the e-mail updates, and the updates to the various section of the webpage. This will be your responsibility.

Copy and paste this application, complete it, then send it to the Presidents, with the subject header of "PW APPLICATION", otherwise, it may not be read.

Please make sure that you complete the application IN ITS ENTIRETY!

-Description of Wrestler's Typical Ring Entrance:

-What your wrestler typically does before the bell sounds when facing a heel: ("warm-up" activity)

-What your wrestler typically does before the bell sounds when facing a face: ("warm-up" activity)

-Will your wrestler ever taunt opponents or managers?: (Often, Sometimes or Almost Never)

-If your wrestler ever taunts his opponent, how might s/he typically do this?:

-Will your wrestler cheat?: (Often, Sometimes, Only to Win or Almost Never.)

-General Character Plan: (It's difficult to foresee the future, but, assuming that you've done your homework, how do you see your character fitting into things here at Planet Wrestling? What direction do you plan on taking your wrestler?)

-Default Match Strategy: (This doesn't need to be anything complicated. Just a general outline of your character's basic attack plan in a typical match. This can range from always trying for a specific move or moves in a match, to trying to maintain a particular pace, to trying to string certain moves together, etc., etc. Be creative. Remember two things though: that you can send in specific match strategies for a match in case you don't want to your default match strategy, and that strategies don't always work out according to plan.)

-Default Match Strategy Versus Interference: (An outline of how your character typically reacts when faced with outside interference.)

-Any Additional Notes FOR CARDWRITERS: (i.e., anything else you think might help our writers better control your character in a match situation; how they deal with outside interference, how they react to the fans, etc. Remember, THIS can only help your character behave in the manner that you'd like him/her to, so provide us with any information you feel is relevant or necessary. Optional)

-Any Additional Notes FOR THE PRESIDENTS: (i.e., for judging flashes, regarding your flashing style, regarding your character, your frequency of roleplaying, problems you have with the page, etc. Optional.)

-Do you want to make a surprise debut?: (If so, provide a quick explanation of your entrance angle. Will it be an attack, an in-card interview, etc.? Note that unless I recieve a note of permission from their handler, that a surprise debut angle CANNOT involve a current champion or "number one contender" . If you want a surprise debut, the chances of your propesed entrance angle are far better the further down the ladder you would like to be introduced at, and anything above a "mid-card" involvement is quite unlikely. Furthermore, should you choose the surprise debut option, your character information will not be posted immediately. This of course, will only apply once. NOTE: Just because you'd like to make a surprise debut, doesn't mean that your proposed debut angle will be accepted. Simpler requests tend to be those that are more likely to be honored, though more complex, but well-thought out ones will also be considered, especially if you've worked something out with one or more current handler.)

-Do you want your profile posted on the Roster page as soon as possible?: (Remember that if you want to have some some sort of mystery entrance into the federation, or if you want your character introduced gradually, or whatever, that you may not want your character's profile being posted to ruin the surprise.)

-How did you find out about PW? What made you decide to join?: (Optional. If possible, we would like to know what link brought you to our page (for example, what search engine you may have found Planet Wrestling through, or what other page was linked to us), or if someone else refered you here or not. Also, let us know what caught your eye about our fed and made you decide to sign up.)

-Have you ever roleplayed in an e-wrestling federation before? If so, for how long?: (Just roughly estimate if you're not quite sure. Note: players are never, ever rejected on the basis of whether or not they have previous e-fed roleplaying experience, so please be honest.)

-Where do you live?: (Optional. Used for statistical purposes and general knowledge. Planet Wrestling is interested in where its players hail from, to get a better idea of who we have playing here. We're also looking into the possibility of getting more sponsors that provide us with prizes for our players, so knowing where our players live might just help us in that department. As general an answer as what state or province you live in would be swell if you live in North America, but since my geography skills aren't what they should be, if you live on another continent, the country you live in would likely be all I really could process (sorry). Remember, this is optional.)

-How much time would you say that you spend writing up this application?: (Optional. Used for statistical purposes and general knowledge. No matter how much or little time you spent on this, it won't be held against you, so please be honest. We just want to know, more than anything, how challenging players find the application is to get through, considering how long and detailed it is.)

-Finally, write a sample roleplay for us, involving your proposed character. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your creative abilities and showcase yourself since this part will largely determine whether or not you and your character will be accepted into the federation. An option is to write a roleplay directed toward one of the league's "jobber" characters, pretending that they're controlled by an experienced human roleplayer... Or just be creative and make up an imaginary future opponent, or situation, and roleplay about that. Please be creative. Remember: Planet Wrestling is a competitive federation, but we're always on the lookout for new talent. Even if you've never roleplayed in a federation before, you have a good chance of being accepted if we see potential in your sample roleplay: (ABSOLUTELY MANDITORY. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have never roleplayed for an e-wrestling federation before, it is highly reccomended that you at least take a look at the PW's "Introduction to Roleplaying in Planet Wrestling" before writing your roleplay. Later, you can take the time to peruse the hints and tips listed in our "PW Roleplaying Advice" section, too.)
