By the time I finished filling in the flag-stone with cement it was fall and almost too cold to pitch.  We shivered through a few games and made a fire in the BBQ grill.  We have had some great times since putting in the court, it was well worth the time, labor, and money invested.
I used steel fence posts to support the back boards.
This end is ready to pour concrete.
BUILDING BACKYARD COURTS
All the measurements need to be precise.
Out with the old, in with the new.
The material's not to expensive and neither is the labor if you've got some good buds and free beer!
The flag-stone patios were harder work than the concrete slabs.
Wet concrete, what a beautiful sight.
A hand level works fine to level the forms but it took a borrowed surveyers transom to tell me this end needed to be raised 4 inches.
