ARLINGTON
IRON
BENDERS
HORSESHOE COURTS
Iron Bender home courts are located at Meadowbrook Park off Abram Street, east of Collins Street, in East Arlington.
There are 20 lighted courts; featuring eight clay and twelve sand.  Johnson Creek parallels the courts to the north and the recreation center is directly to the south.
In the summer of 2000 the club renovated the court backboards and posts.  The pressure treated lumber was cut, routered, stained, and installed by Iron Bender club members.  The Texas summer heat made this an exhausting job, but the results were worthwhile.
This is a view of the A and B courts which are clay.  Between them is a small storage shed for shovels, brooms, hoses, ect.  On the far right is a bench for observers.
This view shows the sand courts:  C, D, and E.
The Arlington Morning News came out this summer and found club members installing new backboards on all the courts.  This photo showing Bill Eagan appeared in the paper.
From this perspective you can see Johnson Creek on the left.
