| In December of each year the Arlington Iron Benders horseshoe club meets for their annual Christmas party and awards banquet. At this special time of year club members, past and present, family and friends, get together to share camaraderie and to recognize member's accomplishments. | IRON BENDER OF THE YEAR |

| The Iron Bender of the Year award is voted by fellow members to the pitcher who, by his play, contribution to the club ,and promotion of the sport of horseshoes, has distinguished himself by his efforts. |
| Chuck has for years been one of our most dedicated members. This past year Chuck arranged for free gifts to be given away at two of our tournaments. He also aquired a computer to help with the statistics. |

| ROOKIE OF THE YEAR |

| The Rookie of the Year award is presented to a First Year Club Member who distinguishes him/herself with his involvement and contribution to the club. |
| First year pitcher Larry Lauer could always be seen when the work was needed. He also assisted at our Boy Scout event and organized a United Way fund raiser at our courts. |

| MOST IMPROVED PITCHER |
| Ron Sanderson |
| Ron began the season pitching 18.25% with a 69 point handicap and finished the year with a 31.55% and lowered his handicap to 69. |
