Reunion of the Descendants of the 136th NYS Vol Infantry Regiment
Another picnic was held in Letchworth State Park on the very ground where the 136 NYSV infantry regiment trained during the Civil War. 

Many folks brought wonderful information they shared with descendants of the soldiers of this regiment at both the 2003 & 2005 events.

Vriling Osgood, drummer, 136 NYSV Infantry
Vriling D. Osgood:
Enlisted in the 136 NYSV, Company H at Bennington, Wyoming Co., NY,  in September 1862 at age 22 yrs.

Mustered in as a musician (drummer).  Mustered out with his company in June 1865 after Sherman's Army marched through Washington, DC.

This photo was brought to the reunion picnic by Osgood's grandson, Harvey Roll.
