Week 6 Analysis by Phil Predictions by Marc
Buffalo vs. Miami Marc’s line: 28-10 Miami
This AFC East battle features two teams fighting for
first place. After trading, I don’t think Buffalo has
anyone to throw to, and if they do chose to throw Sam
Madison will be waiting right there for the int. So
if Miami can shut down the Buffalo run game, they
could get an easy W. Look for N.Kaufman to get some
yardage, and the scrambling D.Flutie will be looking
for his receivers deep.
Denver vs. San Diego Marc’s Line: 24-21 San Diego
The new look San Diego Chargers go up against the
Romanowski-less Denver Broncos. Denver picked up some
new receivers that they can now go to. But the
question is if Cade can get the ball to them. On the
other hand San Diego has Manning at the helm, and it
doesn’t matter who the receivers are because he will
get the ball there. If San Diego defense plays well
against the Bronco run game they can pull this one
out.
Green Bay vs. Detroit Marc’s Line: 28-14 Detroit
In their first game without Brett Favre the Packers
are going to be looking for some leadership. They
need to get their stuff in order and execute a well
balanced attack now that the arm of Favre and speed of
Ismail are gone. Detriot now has Boston who could be
seeing some time at RB, this will allow for Crowell to
get some time at WR and get some catches. Green Bay
has to find some way to stop this consistent offense.
But that is going to be hard, Detroit is on a 5 game
winning streak. I don’’t know if you can stop all
that momentum.
Indianapolis vs. New England Marc’s Line: 35-7 Indianapolis
Indianapolis is playing some of the best team defense
in the league, and with E.James and R.Moss moving the
ball towards the endzone this team is a train. If New
England’s receivers get open Drew Bledsoe will have to
bullet it to them as soon as he can. New England
might need some help from their kicker Gramatica to
win this game. If Indianapolis will keep mixing up
the run and pass game they will have the New England
defense running in circles.
New Orleans vs. Chicago Marc’s Line: 21-17 Chicago
Both of these teams are looking really solid and this
should be a close game. Chicago finally has someone
to get the ball to their talented receivers and should
look to go to them early. New Orleans Stephen Davis
will try to ware down Chicago’s defensive line. If
either team can force a turnover they need to make
sure to capitalize.
New York Giants vs. Atlanta Marc’s Line: 21-14 Atlanta
The New York Giants acquired one of the best players
in the league in Donovan McNabb. The Giants attack
will look different now so Atlanta have be on their
heels. NY will have to guard S.Sharp closely because
if he gets loose it could be 6 points for Atlanta.
Ricky Williams will get the start at RB and for
Atlanta to be successful he will need to get over 70
yards on the day.
Oakland vs. San Francisco Marc’s Line: 28-14 San Francisco
Both of these teams have some holes in their offenses
so they will have to play one sided most of the game.
The 49ers will look to power it up the middle with
there excellent running back Eddie George. Oakland’s
Brad Johnson will be looking for one of the best wide
receivers in football, Keyshawn Johnson. If San Frans
defense comes alive they could have a good chance of
winning this game.
Tennessee vs. Cincinnati Marc’s Line: 28-7 Tennessee
These teams are both loaded offensively, and both have
strong defenses. Trading away Kearse didn’t hurt the
Titans defense much as they still have Ray Lewis to
stop what ever is in the way. The Titans running
attack may suffer a little as they have lost one of
their best OL Bruce Matthews who had been with the
team for over a decade. If Dante gets time he will
hit up his receivers and end the game quickly.
Washington vs. New York Jets Marc’s Line: 35-21 Washington
I chose this game as game of week because of the
incidents between these two owners. dleifriaf’s
constant whining and bothering Mysterio may have
sparked something. But lets talk about the changes,
both teams have new QB’s so the passing games could
come alive this game. Kearse has now moved in the
Jets defense and will be looking to stop the run game.
Washington DB’s have more than enough speed to keep
up with the fast Jet receivers. James Hasty will be
looking to get some picks in this game. This one
should be a war.
Baltimore vs. Jacksonville Marc’s Line: 21-3 Baltimore
Baltimore has had one of the best defenses in the
league all year. Jacksonville is going to have to
find a way to get passed it, if they get within field
goal range they should take the 3 points. Baltimore
is showing that Brunell can run like McNabb too and
will be scrambling. If the Baltimore defense is
stopping the Jacksonville offense the points should
come easy.
Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota Marc’s Line: 27-21 Minnesota
After a loss to Detroit, Minnesota is looking to get
something going again. Robert Smith will be trying to
burn the Tampa Bay defenders on the outside runs.
Kurt Warner will still be looking to his great
receivers and the duo of Dunn and Barber could have
themselves a nice rushing day.
Dallas vs. St. Louis Marc’s Line: 35-7 St. Louis
Fiedler was splitting time in New Orleans with Banks
but now gets the starting role in Dallas. He won’t
have very impress receivers to go to so Trung
Candidate might have to get the ground game going.
With very strong DL Dallas will pressure the St. Louis
back field runners and the QB. St. Louis now have a
fast DB in Harrison and he will be looking to stop the
WR from catching anything deep.
