Something for Everyone
This University supported network serves as a support system for its members through a variety of activites, including:
� Network Website
� Monthly Food 'N Friends (Dutch treat member gathering at a local restaurant)
� Children's Activities
� Special Interest Activities (book club, etc.)
� Organized Couples Activities
� Welcome luncheon
� Summer Picnic
NRS also has a very important service component, in which NRS members provide assistance to each other during special times of need (a new baby, a serious illness in the family, a death, etc.) During these times of need, NRS members volunteer to take a meal, baby-sit, or provide other services as needed. Many of you may find other support systems as well (such as churches), yet it is very helpful to have the support from those who truly understand the stresses and difficulties of an internship, residency, or fellowship your family may be feeling.
You're invited!
Ease your transition of moving to a new place, making new friends, and perhaps starting a new job. Seize the opportunities and enjoy the camaraderie provided through membership in NRS.
Spouses and significant others of resident physicians and fellows are invited to membership. Your membership includes all highlighted services and activities, and much, much more! Membership fees are $10 per year.
