The Armenian Genocide
Introduction:

Welcome to an informative site about the Armenian Genocide. This Genocide was an atrocity committed by the Ottoman Turks during the 1910's and 1920's. It is estimated that between 500,000 and 1.5 million Armenians were killed. First, one must know, what is a genocide? It is the intentional destruction of a race of people, a culture, a religion, etc. Why did the Ottoman Turks have such hostility against the Armenians? One answer to that question is the Ottoman government accused the Armenians of being pro-Russian, thus the threat of a massive rebellion. By using various means of propaganda, and hiding information, they were able to kill much of the Turkish Armenian population with little resistance. It became one of the worst genocides in history, and still receives little recognition to date.
