The Armenian genocide, is widely acknowledged as a massacre and an act of atrocity. Most countries of the world share this point of view. Israel viewed it as a calamity which deems remembrance. The United States viewed it as a massacre, saluting the survivors of this heinous act. The United Kingdom, Canada, France and Greece have also expressed this sentiment. Even The Turkish Republic was ashamed of this act, despising those who were part of it, thus taking the side of the Armenians. The only country who didn't necessarily feel this way was Nazi Germany, who carried out the Jewish holocaust with the thought that it would receive the same minimal amount of attention the Armenian Genocide did. The Germans were the lone outside country to aide the perpetrators, in this case, the Ottoman Turks.
