Then I woke. I opened my eyes with a faint kiss to the world. Not to every person who has walked their course in life, or still walking, but to everyone that has been kind enough to share their own. To the ones whose hands I grasped when falling so hard that gravity seemed like something of a nightmare.

I woke, knowing that this was what I had. It had never changed really. The same barren life forms still inhabited this planet, and everything was but my interpretation of it. The world was a neutral playing field where I put my thoughts to life. Every path leads to its inevitable darkened ways for which you must be at your most awared state of mind. But for every darkened part of the path was a bright, lively trail for me to walk down. A place where all my efforts came to show their worthwhile purpose. A place where if I so desired, I could sit and put my thoughts to rest for some while. In those moments, I chose not to over-indulge, rather sit up with my back perched against a tree reading a book, or preparing for a blackened time I knew was ahead.

When I could, I would hold the hands of the many who held me when I was falling. Even if it's not my time to keep them from falling to the ground, I would hold their hands, for it's always a nice gesture to remind them of my presence if they shall soon encounter their dark pathway. For every hand that held mine, I would love to grab their hand and walk with them along a peaceful field where Doves and Cardinals would sing endlessly together. When walking felt like a burden, we could come to a rest in the middle of the field and lie with our eyes facing the wondeful clouds that dawned their presence each morning and left each night to reveal an awe inspiring sky of stars.

What I wouldn't give to be able to show each person who has held me like I was meaningful just how much they really mean to me. If I was ever given the chance to prove my appretiation for you, I assure you I would give you the walk in the sunny field.
