The children who participate in the race sell candy bars every year to raise money. The candy sales always take place in the spring and they cost only one dollar apiece.
Every year Valparaiso's Mayor participates in the Soap Box Derby. He races in the Oil Can Derby. You can purchase a ticket to race the Mayor for only a dollar.
The Hoosier Bat Company was kind enough to donate an autographed Sammy Sosa bat. Sammy Sosa used this same style of bat to hit his 61st, 62nd, and 63rd homeruns. The Sosa bat will be raffled off on the day of the race. Tickets can be purchased now for only a dollar a piece. For tickets contact a NIDRA member. NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN
