Norfolk Wildlife Trust have started killing Muntjac and other Deer species in Foxley Woods which is owned by them. Being a Charitable Wildlife Trust, they are therefore spending supporters money to carry out this cull. If you are an existing member of Norfolk Wildlife Trust and are considering leaving, or if you have pledged a legacy and are thinking of changing this, please contact them explaining the reason why. The woods will be closed one day each week to enable the shooting of deer to take place.
Please register your protest and outrage against this sickening slaughter to the above.
Please be polite, as rudeness can be counter-productive!
Please read our press release issued jointly with Norwich Anti Blood Sports faxed to the local Newspaper, Radio, and TV stations on Thursday 15th May, which reveals some interesting new facts.
No local newspaper, radio station, or TV has written or broadcast the information relating to the Chairman (Mr. John Austin) of the Trust, and neither have they contacted NABS or SAFE relating to this.
The news coverage yesterday was in general extremely limited, even though film crews were promised (but never arrived) and although interviews were undertaken by phone with the radio stations early that morning, mostly, they were not broadcast....... no change there then !!!!!!!!!
It is of the utmost importance that now a very small article has been published locally, that phone calls, emails, and faxes continue to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, insisting that this sickening slaughter is stopped.
The shoot that was planned for Thursday 15th did not go ahead and also a message in the window of Norfolk Wildlife Trust offices said that they were closed all day, although the lights were on, and the phone was being answered !!!!!!!!
