Northwood High School Color Guard
Boosters - Fundraising Opportunities
Volunteer Assignments Albertson's Raffle Signup

NHS Color Guard boosters provide several fundraising opportunities over the coarse of the year in order to assist families with the cost of the Color Guard program as well as to add money to the general fund. Participation in most fundraising is optional. In most cases, half or all of the funds raised goes directly to the account of those that participate for use towards the cost of the program.

Listed below are the fundraisers that have been done in the past, which are being planned or could be considered for the 2004-2005 Color Guard year (pending approval). If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding the Color Guard fundraisers, please notify the person in charge of fundraising as listed on the Volunteer Assignments page.

  • NHS Color Guard hosts a concession booth during the morning of the Northwood High freshman registration selling coffee and refreshments (water and soda) and brownies. Starbucks donated the coffee last year. Color Guard parents are needed to staff the booth after 9:00am since the team members are in Band Camp that week.

  • NHS Color Guard sells NHS Timberwolves car flags at the home football games. Color Guard parents staff the booth.

  • Color Guard may host a concession booth at the Car Show. We sold Nachos at the 2003 Car Show. Booth setup is from 7:00am to 9:00am and the event runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Also, items can contributed to the auction to raise money for Color Guard. We auctioned some Angels tickets at the 2004 Car Show.

  • Color Guard hosts the NHS Spring Show featuring performances by NHS Color Guard and the NHS level 1 and leve 2 dance classes. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year. Money is raised from ad sales for the program, admission ticket sales and a snack concession.

  • Color Guard sells raffle tickets for a $200 Shopping Spree at Albertson's. Each raffle ticket is $1.00. Tickets are sold in front of the store on several days in June. Each team member is asked to work at least two 2-hour shifts.
