Welcome to the
official website for the North Island Standardbreds Club
This is club was formed by a group of people who all enjoy
and would like to help inform people to give standardbred horses that arent
quite suitable for the racing industry another chance in the equestrian world.
Whether it before during or after racing a standardbred horse can help in
various ways.
Many of us have found this breed to be very versatile and
very enjoyable to do a variety of different things with these lovable horses.
They are now becoming very popular for pleasure, CTR and Endurance riding,
harness events, Pony Club as well as showing and much more.
This site will have regular updates of what we are doing
with our "Standies" throughout the North Island of New Zealand in the
News Page with a monthly newsletter for all to read.
Our Events page will be updated as shows are organised and
regular results will be published on the website as well.
