Information for Owners and Operators by the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles All-terrain vehicles (ATV's) can be fun if they're operated and ridden safely and responsibly. To help make ATV riding safe, and to protect the rights of property owners, New York State requires ATV's to be registered and all ATV riders to obey special laws. ATV Safety Training Courses approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles are available throughout the state. Our President and Vice President are Certified Instructors! *If you don't yet own a ATV or Dirt Bike but are thinking of buying one, ask your dealer about the Training Course. Most manufacturers offer an incentive to participate in the program.
