Round One vs Panania 17/03/02 @ George Green.
Firsts. An extremely hot day got worse going 1 nil down after half time. However, the team rallied thru a Johnny Hewitt beauty and then win the game in tha last minute off the head of a tireless Shane Buckley.
Man of the Match, Shane Buckley
Seconds. A really tough effort in the conditions. A fine chip from Steve Nastevski and a good finish from Les Edwards meant 2 nil at half time. After a small hiccup for 2-1, Les and Ozzie Gogebakan finished coolly for a 4-1 win.

Round up: A fine effort by all players in totally oppresive conditions.

Round Two vs Bankstown Sports 24/03/02 @ George Green.
Firsts. A slow start built up to goals from Craig Brown and Darren Day for 2 nil at half time. A few missed chances meant we did not capitalise on the play and two lapses meant 2-all at full time.
Man of the Match, Tim Vidler
Seconds. A solid start to a very even game stayed nill - all at half time. A fine piece of opportunism by Mitchel and Ian Parry was converted by Ian for 1 - nil and then Sports for 1 - all. The arm wrestle continued to the end to finish a draw at 1 - all.

Round Three vs St Christophers 06/04/02 @ Marco.
Firsts. A bright start eventually built up for a fine combined effort from Brett Day, Trent Dunlop and onto Johnny Hewitt for a real cracker of a goal ( the Ice Man is back) for 1 - nil at half time. Two glitches put us 2 - 1 down, however the players fought back to level through Craig Brown and almost brought off a last minute winner. 2 - 2 at full time.

Seconds. A solid opening lead to a fine cross from Bill Parry, rebounding off the upright, Steve Nastevski in place to bury the ball in the back of the net for 1 - 0 at half time. The players kept composure despite a number of injuries to maintain their lead and win 1 - nil.

Round Four vs Hornets 13/04/02 @ Jensen.
Firsts. A strong start was never capitalised upon with missed chances throwing the pressure back on us, and down 2 - nil at half time. The second half just could'nt seem to happen and finished a 3 - nil loss.
Man of the Match, Craig Brown
Seconds. A very light game against last years grand finalists was 0 -0 at half time. Although we would have won a points decision, we did not find the net and the score remained 0 -0 at full time.

Round Five vs Padstow Utd 20/04/02 @ Playford.
Firsts. A real arm wrestle from end to end but neither team could put one in for 0 -0 at half time. Again a number of chances in the second half we could not put away and then a 50 -50 decision went against us for 1 - 0 loss at full time.
Man of the Match, Trent Dunlop
Seconds. A solid start was consolidated by a neatly taken Marbon Gonzales goal for 1 - 0 at half time. The team consolidated for a 2 - nil lead and despite a small lapse in concentration we scored again for a 3 - 1 win. The team remain undefeated on 12 points after five rounds.

Round Six vs Birrong 28/04/02 @ George Green.
Firsts. A very strong start created plenty of chances but only one went in. An excellent piece of team work between stavros and Johnny Hewitt saw the Ice Man score his third of the season. From there we didnt capitalise on our chances putting the pressure back on us, with two lapses for 1-2 down at the first half. The second half again could not be converted into goals for a final 2-1 loss.

Seconds. An entertaining begining with end to end football. A small hiccup put us 1-0 down, however the team rallied strongly for Wayne Edworthy and Darren Appleyard to score 2-1 up at the first half whistle. All the players lifted magnificently to hang on short handed and win the game 2-1.

Well done to the seconds who remain undefeated on 15 points after six rounds.
