HOW TODAY FOR TOMORROW’S LEARNERS WAS BORN

Pre-schools have been established in every community. One may find at least three Pre-schools in a well populated community. Some Pre-schools will advertise for highly qualified staff with impressive educational backgrounds but they would not actually teach and merely serve as consultants. Other Pre-Schools offer air conditioned rooms congested with thirty children, not complying with the ideal 1:6 ratio of teacher to children. And yet some schools are too academic oriented or at focused too much on play, arts and crafts that a child lags in other areas and the “wholistic” development of the child is not achieved. And just when one thought that he has found a school that seems to have fulfilled most of what is ideal, it turns out to be very expensive or are requiring a full year tuition fee payment with no terms payment.

Having experienced the above and having met countless parents who have the same dilemma or are not aware of the standards they are to look out for in choosing a school, the strong idea of putting up a different school in Sampaloc, Manila came about. Our school, TODAY FOR TOMORROW’S LEARNERS PRE-SCHOOL AND TUTORIAL CENTER endeavors to provide foremost, an affordable tuition fee and at the same time, quality education. The school strictly maintains a low teacher to pupil ratio to ensure a warm atmosphere comparable to the home. We respect the personal uniqueness of each child. Since we maintain a low teacher to pupil ration, meaning at best, every teacher is assigned eight students. Teachers have to luxury to provide individualized instructions and testing to the children. All these are believed to be the ingredients to ensure learning that is lasting, imbued with Filipino values.

The Managing Directress of the school has engaged in the tutorial business since 1994 with students from Ateneo, La Salle, Assumption, Colegio San Agustin, Woodrose, Marymount and St. James. Her exposure to various curricula has given her time tested techniques in ensuring learning with mastery.

She completed her Pre-School Specialization from Philippine Normal University. She graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with a degree in A.B. Psychology.

Today for Tomorrow’s Learners Pre-School works hard to actively participate in providing social service to the community by extending to the middle class children, quality Pre-school education, the standards of which are at par with the known private schools usually located in Makati but with affordable tuition fee. The school endeavors to bring awareness/education to middle class parents regarding the standards of what a good Pre-school should possess.
