Slate is a rescue dog that we adopted two years ago.  Slate was found as a stray in the streets of Tampa.  He was diagnosed with aggressive heartworms.  We adopted Slate and treated his heartworms which took over a year for him to regain his health.  In that time he became such a happy part of the family, we decided to keep him.

 

Slate has a wonderful temperament and is the spokesdog for NorAust Kennel.  His loving disposition makes him a favorite with old and young alike.

 

Slate has recently begun training for agility and tracking competitions.  Watch for him in the Novice agility ring soon.
