What's up dude? First of all I want to tell you that I'm not alone answering you. There's Andrea, another BxVx freak, with me. Here's is everything ok and we think that Pope never stops to masturbate himself; right now there are a lot of Bishops and Priests in Vatican City who can help him when he is lazy� Hahahahaha� Band info in Myspace quite short so could you please tell us some details about the band story on how it was started and the current lineup� (Or maybe you could update your myspace page either�) We started in 2003 with the will of play loud, play noise, play chaos! The Myspace bio is too short coz is quite impossible and too much long to describe every line - up changes during these 5 years. Trust in me my friend, I have to squeeze my brain to remind every people who play with us; but we always wanted and still want to play Lo-fi noise grind! Nowadays our line up is: Andrea (VX), Joseph (VX), Roberto (DR), Sandro (GUIT). And why did you choose the name BESTIAL VOMIT? Is there any big reason why this name? No, there isn't a big reason behind the name; but we liked it so much, then we discovered that "BESTIAL VOMIT" was the title track of first Majesty's demo. For who doesn't know, Majesty is the previous name of the well knows band called TERRORIZER. And we liked it more. I've have noticed that you are always looking for a band to be work for a split project. Well, what type of bands you are looking for? Maybe you could detail here the band qualification you are looking for so for those bands who could read this interview catch their interest to work with you. We have list of local bands here that may caught your interest� It's very simple to answer this quest: we want to split with every kind of band! We have not preferences! We love to split with unknown bands coming from "exotic paradises", but for sure we'll never split with bands who display a racist, xenophobe, sexist or Nazi attitude. Now we are speaking with everybody from Philippines, guys don't hesitate any second to contact us: zine makers, bands, labels, individuals, collectives� (OK guys... you can check Joseph email address below and contact him... - J) The latest released you have done is your split CD with PROLETAR. Compare to other demo/splits you have worked with what is the differences on this project and any new things that you would explain to us? Ah-ah my friend we have a lot of stuff out every years; we unleashed other 8 releases after the split with PROLETAR. Compared to other splits, the split w/ PROLETAR is the most professional; we have lyrics; we have a professional artwork and a professional CD too. What about writing lyrics to your music, do you do this? If yes mostly what topic do you tackle besides of those pathological gory of lyrics? What about political and social topic, do you have any interest? What inspire to write lyrics We had the lyrics just for the split with PROLETAR and split 7" with AGATHOCLES. I've never written the lyrics before, except for one of two songs. I wrote these lyrics and they are into social and political context; my eyes who are watching this corrupted world are my first inspiration for lyrics. We never wrote anatomo-pathologic lyrics; in the past we had just some titles and cover artwork in this vein. Besides of your band you are also the one who run Lofi Records. How is the status of that label now? Any upcoming project do we expect? Maybe you have an interest to release some of our local bands here� Yes dude, I love your words: I am the one!!! I started this project sometimes ago, but unfortunately it quitted. I know that your scene is fuckin' strong, we are searching for bands playing grind - crust - noise - HC - power violence - brutal - death - thrash� Maybe on CD-R or Tape version. I've have noticed also that most of the BESTIAL VOMIT records are split project, do you have any plan to record a full length album? Or if there is already project working right now tell us more about this. I think we are going to release a full length with songs from the split w/ ARCHAGATUS and the split w/ TO DIE and PLAGUE RAGES + several bonus trax, but it's just an immature project� We can't for see the future with this band, the future is full of surprises. Anyway we have 2 full length album (CD-R "ANTIROCKSTAR MANIFESTO!" and Tape "THE KINGDOME OF FLOWERS AND FLYING COCKS") and a collection CD-R "GREATEST SHIT". They are so old and now we have to make something new, do you agree? What about your spare time, even I know that you are also busy with Lofi records and BESTIAL VOMIT. What else do you do in your life? Is it your family understands what you are doing right now? Music absorbs almost all my days, when I've not to play with BxVx or I'm not engaged with LO-FI Records I have to work but� I work always with music!!! I'm a sound engineer and I produce bands, for example in these days I finished a mini CD of a brutal death metal band called DR.GORE. They are simply terrific; I know that in your far lands there are a lot of death metal freaks, so guys keep in touch with them. Now I've to start next week with a new brutal death metal band called SUDDEN DEATH. I work as audio engineer at live shows, TV shows and Broadcasting too. When music and work obligations leave me free, I use to go at the gigs or I go out with friends for take some beers and smoke some joints. Another great passion are the trips; I love so much when I can know different cultures, different way of life so far from mine. I prefer describe myself like a traveler not just like a tourist. Nowadays I'm 28 years old, and my family stopped long time ago to ask my why� they think I'm completely gone for the U.G., eheheheh. How often do you practice in BESTIAL VOMIT? What gadgets and equipment do you use? Isn't hard to find rehearsal studio and recording studio in you area or you need to travel miles away to practice? Besides of BESTIAL VOMIT what other bands did you play before or still active as of this time? We try to practice 1 - 2 times per week, but are very difficult coz me and Andrea work very often on the night and Sandro and Roberto during the day. For example last rehearsal was about 20 days ago. Now we are a little bit "TRADITIONAL" we have just one guitar amplifier with a lot of fuzz and de-tune pedals; one drum and two microphones. But in the past we used a lot of shits, like empty been bootles used as drums, thrash containers of horrorific keyboards inside distorted amplifiers. But the best it was when I plugged two jack cables in the ampli without instruments used like drum sticks. I've not to say that the result was pretty raw and crap, Whhhoooouuuu, Buuuuuu. Sounds like high distortion of hell!!! Every kind of tool is good for make noise! It's not too difficult to find a studio in our country, a lot of people runs their own recording / rehearsal studio. We are so lucky coz our drummer have his own garage / studio, where we can play; also we have no problem for records something coz me and Sandro are 2 sound engineers and we have a lot of audio equipment able to record. We have to make about 50-60 KM (80 - 96 miles) for practice coz me and Sandro live in Rome and Roberto and Andrea in a small village called Borgo Quinzio. In this moment I play just with BxVx but in the past I've several bands, from black metal to R'N'Blues, the most significative are: OBSIDIUM SPIRTI, a raw black metal band (96 - still active with other monicker, I played with them from 2000 to 2002) CLG, brutal grind (2002-2008), SYNAPSICIDE, anatomo-pathological brutal grind (2001 - still active, I played with them from 2001 to 2006). Sometimes I program drum machine fro CANNIBE, a good grind gore band. We knew that there are lots of grindcore bands in Italy besides of CRIPPLE BASTARD and of course BESTIAL VOMIT, but for you what other bands you would like to recommend to us and maybe you could tell us some short info about them? What can you say about CRIPPLE BASTARD, they're fucking well known in the ug scene and one of the biggest icon if you're looking for grindcore band from Italy? I would like to sell just about grindcore bands coz we have a lot of interesting bands in every kind of music, the most well know grindcore bands in Rome are COMRADES, they played with RATOS DE PORAO, NAPALM DEATH; another great band is DOGFIGHT (we play a cover version of their old hit "BASTARDI"), they make a lot of stuff in the late 90ies-first years of 2000, and they also played with a lot of international bands like ROT; unluckily they splitted now. Always in Rome we have dirty power game, where there are some old BxVx members, they are more into crust-HC and toured around U.S. This year, they played with EXTREME NOISE TERROR, AGATHOCLES and many more. Then we have ULTIMO MONDO CANNIBALE a grind gore band who released a full length under a German label, they played with MIXOMATOSIS, BRUTAL TRUTH and PULMONARY FIBROSIS; now they are gonna play in a German festival. Always around Rome and around grindcore field there's TSUBO an amazing band who released a killer album and played with MISERY INDEX, AGATHOCLES, CRIPPLE OF BASTARD and many more. Another great band of my city is FRANK DREBIN they play grind / power violence but they play just in the gigs and they don't release any stuff at all. Just if you want to stay in Rome, coz in the rest of Italy we have VISCERA, BOWEL STEW, COREY, BRAINWASH, 2 MINUTA DREKA, REPULSIONE, DIORRHEA, FUNERAL RAPE, FLEISCHWALD, BESTIAL DEVASTATION, DISFORIA, BORNSICK, C.O.S., PSYCHOFAGIST and many many more; sorry if I forgot someone my friends� What can I say about CRIPPLE BASTARD? I think they deserve this success and this international attention coz they broke their bones around the world for almost 20 years; but here in Italy they have not a lot of friends� but this is an old history. (history or story, whatever it is� just email to me� ok?! Hehehe - J) Do you remember when and where is your first ever gig? Do you have also any good or bad experience that you could not forget? Tell us more about this. The first concert I can remember is an IRON MAIDEN gig in Rome, early 90ies; I remember that I was with my cousin and I was fuckin excited to be there. I saw for the first time a pogo and I thought "Whoooo, what are these metal motafukkers doing???. After 20 seconds of hesitance I joined them. I backed home with broken glasses but with a smile who told everything. What about touring outside Italy? Have you been tour already, when and where? Or any possible plan most especially here in SE Asia. We really can't wait to see you guys here if you said that you plan to play here. But only if you shoulder your plane ticket from Italy to Philippines� hehehehe! First unexpected news dear: we never play live! The reason is very simple: just read my answer to your second question. We always changed line - up, and we never play a song more that 1 or 2 times. Just practice and record with new people every time. But several times there was more than 20 people of our practices, drinking, struggling, puking and "playing" with us. In the last year we have a solid line - up and we want to play as many more and more times we can. I know man that is SE Asia there are a huge number of noisy - freaks; we have a lot of friends especially in Indonesia; and we really would like to play in your lands a day. But we are just a poor grindnoise band and the flights tickets cost a lot. But nobody knows� What is you view about MYSPACE? Lots of bands nowadays sprouting and used myspace as a medium to spread their diseases, but less effort in making their own website instead of using Myspace. I know what you mean dude; MYSPACE is a good vehicle to promote your band, and is easier to make a MYSPACE page than a normal website, if you don't know HTML I mean. Then people during the millenniums prefer to assemble theirself in closed communities, huge or micro one, it's not important. They feel their self safe and protected. MYSPACE and INTERNET in general have quick a lot the mail among the U.G. for example with the old school way, by snail mail, I could answer this interview just after 2 or 3 weeks you send me; and if everything will be OK it'll back you after other 2 or 3. We have to take the best from these new technologies; the speed of keep in contact with people. Back to your quest I hate the MYSPACE pages very heavy, difficult to open. What about Webzine, which do you prefer webzine or fanzine (paperzine)? I don't used to read webzine coz I can't spend a lot of time in the web; I prefer the paper zines. Just these days I decided with a friend of mine to run a new one. Keep you ready for a Philippine scene report my friend. (� ok bro no problem� I have a friend too who make scene report for me� hehehe - J) I guess you are aware that there are lots of Filipino and Filipina working in Italy and entered your country illegally and I believe that not only Filipino but also people from other countries. What can you say about this situation? Is this a big problem or threat in your place? Yes in these last years our economy is growing stronger and stronger, and a lot of immigrants come from 4 corners of the world. We have a large number of stranger workers here; your country mates for example work a lot as housekeepers. This is the way for them to send money home. Some Italians and governments see this like a menace, but I don't. I heard with Ipuletar that you are planning to tour in Asia without BESTIAL VOMIT. When and where will be this tour? Why you didn't bring the band? How's Ipuletar as a friend? Ah Ah Puli!! Are you becoming a Tabloid? Why did you tell my plans to the world??? Ahahahah Right now I have to spend a lot of money for my first recording studio; then in the next 2 years I want to save some money and go in Indonesia. I want to stay there at least 2 months. I want to meet face to face my old friends, with or without BESTIAL VOMIT. Ipuletar is a great guy, you have to know that he's a fresh husband, his wife always wears CLG's shirt, my old band as I told you. (Sorry my friend... but you didn't notice that this is a tabloid zine... heheheh! -J) Are you a fan also of porn gore, one man band? What bands do you listening recently? And what can you say about latest GUT record for now? What about harsh/experimental/ambient/computerized noise, do you believe that "noise is a joke"? What can you say about this? I'm not a big fan of slow gore bands; I prefer speed and noise stuff. Today for example with Andrea we are listening a lot of old and new grindcore bands like AGATHOCLES, ROT, ARCHAGATUS, FEAR OF GOD, MASS SEPARATION, BATHTUB SHITTER, PLAGUE RAGES and many more. I've not listen last GUT yet, sorry man I can't judge it. There are some interesting harsh and PC noise projects, and I like few. In my opinion noise is the spell to break musical borders and a furious protest against them. What is first grindcore/noise records ever heard? What is your first reaction about this? I listened first grindcore shit almost 10 years ago, I think CARCASS; I started suddenly to love their lyrics and titles. First meeting with noise, except some ANAL CUNT, it was when Tony (goodnight) sent me permanent death's parcel for one of our first splits. I thought "SHIT, MY BAND MUST HAS A " SOUND" LIKE THIS!!!" Anyway we were playing noisegrind, but we didn't know it. When and where is first grind/noise gig attended? And what again is your first reaction about this? Difficult quest, I really can't remember the first; but I liked it for sure. Back to your label, what list of bands do you wish to work in the future that you think it's impossible to do or what bands specifically you wished to make a split project with BESTIAL VOMIT? One name overall: I dream every night to release a split 12" with Japanese sludgers corrupted, but it's impossible. Besides of being penpal for a short time, what else do you know about the Philippines? Just a curious question only� : ) Hoooo I know that you are an archipelago and your capital is manila; I know that your are almost all Christians, am I right? You also have troubles with nature for some volcanoes and a lot of floods; but I think is a common problem is SE Asia, nature is so huge and strong in your lands man. If I don't wrong you were a Spanish colony, and right now you have a woman as president. You have a sort of national dope called saboo or shaboo, a root with similar effect of amphetamine, but I've never tried id, hahahaha.
