Good to hear from you as always and thanks a lot for the interview. How's the swine farm you're doing? Check out the newly established ukay ukay stall around FRC mall located at Imus, Cavite. I use to sniff under wears I bought there because I'm inquisitive how a western pussy smells like� Have you already experience a fucking a Foreign cunt? How does it smell? Haha! Well seriously, not much new in the region of Cavite, scene wise. Watch out for the Debut Full Length from Cavite's Brutal Death Metal band PUS VOMIT. They recently recorded 10 tracks of utterly sickening death metal. Watch out motherfuckers!!!! Ok lets talk now to your band HERPES. First of all why did you choose the name HERPES? Do you have herpes? Have you already licked pussy with herpes or can you lick hairy pussy with herpes like with Angel Locsin or maybe Katrina Halili or if you like why not Pokwang? Ha! Well, I came up with that name. I picked this name out of pure frustration, since it is so hard to find a good band name. Aside from the fact that we are formed around 2007, there are already 999,487,897 bands around. It's hard to find a unique one if you as me. I just wanted to find something short and simple. If you find Herpes a little bit boring, I don't give a fuck. So eventually we we're like� fuck it. WE'RE HERPES!!!!! It completely sums up the connotation of the noise we play. It's about the female mortification, rape, perversion, sodomy and other sick stuff, for all intents and purposes; harsh noise, gore and loads of porn! In view of the fact that I also do vocals for Phlegm Thrower, I got a contemplation of forming a band called HERPES THROWER. Isn't that great? Well HERPES is quite new in our local scene and we never seen them live. Maybe you could tell us more info about the band coz myspace is quite tiring to check about your band info., but wait I'd checked it already and its empty, do better introduce the band and why did you choose to start playing with this kind of music instead of groovy, thrashy grind style? You will not find anything on our myspace page; I didn't post anything there yet. Hehehe. Oh well... Don't be a hypocrite people, who said that myspace and internet are gay? The technology is there, Why not use it? I mean there's no excuse to act as if you're stuck in the 80's. Fuck close minded people!!!! Anyway, I always wanted to form a gore grind band in the vein of Last Days of Humanity and Meatshits� I used to do another shitty project called KARNE with a real drummer but it didn't work out. I don't know any good drummer who can blast beat and plays grind the way I wanted, I'm afraid we might ended up like rock and roll, If you know what I mean� And also Herpes is instinctive for our undying passion for cacophonous sounding music and of course, to show to a great extent how we love women. I don't think there is a "wrong" way to construe our theme. If that's what you get out of it, then so be it. But I think people see certain words and they start jumping to conclusions, like the words "rape", "molest", "Desecrate" for instance, and they just automatically think "Oh, they must hate women." I mean, just because there's an image of a female mortification thrown in most of our song titles does not mean our songs is all about battering girls. For all the sensitive pussy out there reading this, we are born to love women. We're a sex machine!!! Haha! We recorded a 5 song demo called "Orgy as a Social Activity". It was done with a drum machine and it was profoundly influenced by LDOH, Anal Birth and Meatshits. Don't rummage around for other words to call what we do. Basically were trying not to carbon copy the well known bands in our genre that's really important for us because I see tons of grind bands that sounds the facsimile of Cock and Ball Torture, Dead Infection, Disgorge mex, Napalm Death, Terrorizer etc etc... Well not respectability the carbon copy... We are more shitty and damn worst than them!! We suck! And why HERPES are never been seen any live performance nowadays in our local shows/gig right now. Are you all shy type sicko? Or your talent fee is too fucking high that can't afford? Tell us what is your demand to convince you to play live most especially in Manila? As for the moment, HERPES is just a 'studio project'. We're busy dealing with school stuff and other necessitate task. If there's an opportunity, we would really love to play with local bands like Befall, Noise Conspiracy Project, Proctalgia, Condemned, Sangkay, Execution of Terror, Religious Nightmare, Paraconflict, Vex, Human Mastication, Pus Vomit, Internal Torture, Erectile Dysfunction, Guerra Mundial... The list would be waaaaaay tooooooo long cause there are so many awesome local bands that I love to share stage with!! But if you really want us to play in Manila, will you play the drums for us?? And for the benefits of peoples, who are not familiar with your band music, please explain to us the style of music you play? As for the moment, we only got 2 ejaculations; "Orgy as a Social Activity" and the recent one, "Snuff Bitch Superstar"� We are now busy recording 30 tracks for a split cdr with Scumfuck from SPERMany. This split will be released by the poorest label, Bituka Records from the Philippines somewhere in 2009. At the moment we are writing new songs for our Debut full length CD. 54 Songs are already finished so at least 15 to go. 69 splatter porn gore tracks all in all. We don't know actually. Perhaps you sick fucks can help us out. Tell us what actually we have been playing� One thing for sure despite the fact that, we certainly enjoy what we are playing. Gorepornfuckingshittysplattergrindnoise!!!!! "Snuff Bitch Superstar" I guess is the latest record I ever heard right now and honestly I really fucking like your style in making noise. Short, fast with some interlude of porn movie clip line; well how many days or weeks and how many sweats have you waste to finish this album? What tracks do you like most and repeatedly played and why? Thanks a lot for the words, man! Making records isn't a precise science. You never want to rush it, for the reason that once you put it out, you can never get it back again. But in our case, with all honesty, we did all this shit for 1 day, with a reduction of the vocals and the mixing stuff. To sum it up, we finished this stuff for 2 consecutive days. Haha! I never wanted to achieve an unambiguous sounding stuff for HERPES. I love culvert sounding shit. Mud-spattered, filthy and horrid! I love them all!!! ;p What about lyrics, I believe you don't use any lyrics at all in your songs but if you have a chance to do it what topics do you prefer and why? I suggest that people not to ask for lyrics, we don't have one and there never will be lyrics for Herpes! Being busy with my other projects, it is impossible to write a lyric. I am just gurgling and puking as sick as possible. Even if I do not write any lyrics, you wouldn't know right? Quite simple, our song titles tell what our subject would look like if ever I will inscribe one. Hilarious fucked up non sense stuff. And what list of bands inspires you a lot or influences that make you decided you to formed HERPES since you are already playing in PHLEGM THROWER? Yeah, I can't speak for the other fucker in Herpes but personally, I listen to a lot of things... From noticeable grind core and gore grind, to crust to brutal death metal to Bosa Nova, for instance. No gay black metal sexy shit for me!!! Basically the entire cacophonous sounding stuffs out there!!! The list would be way too long because there are so many great bands that I love. Last Days of Humanity, Meatshits, Dead Infection, Stoma, Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage, Sorethroat, Rompeprop, 2 Minuta Dreka, Penis Enlargement, Intestinal Disgorge, Foetopsy, Abosranie Bogom, Faeces Eruption, Magistral Flatulences, CBT, Plasma, Tumour, Urine Festival, Carcass, (old) Gut and Anal Birth to name a few. Besides of voice effects and guitars, what other gadgets do you use to make perfect porn noise grind music? Do you use computer effects? What do you mean 'perfect'? Hehehe� We make use of FL Studio for drum programming. For the vocals, I use the built in pitch shifter in Adobe Audition accompanied with a PVC pipe or a Snorkel (Fuck yeah, the one used for diving!). I was thinking about buying some pitch pedals stuff. But I don't have enough money at the moment. I know most people can't get into these kind of stuff because they are constantly telling that pitch shifters are fake. And so as your guitar distortion retards!!! A quantity of people are really pompous of their gurgle /guttural vocals without effects, and that's cool....but with Herpes the goal on vocals is to have them be a total maniacal battering, sick, disgusting, and gut churning vocals! I don't really care though; I'm mostly doing this stuff for myself, just doing something the way I'd like to hear it. How often do you practice a week? Do you communicate first to your band mates before finalizing every track you created? Or everything in your mind is fit for everybody? Believe it or not, all the stuffs from HERPES are impromptu! Sometimes I come up with some ideas and start mutilating some drum tracks and there are 20 to 30 tracks in 2 hours. From time to time I'm working on a song for 3 days because I don't work in it or I don't feel like I want to finish the song... Well most of the time we started with a drum track and put riffs on it... when it sounded good, we kept it and that was all... I think that you do not need to be extremely talented to make good noisy music, although it undoubtedly helps a bit. What I firmly believe though (simply because I have to believe it, otherwise I might as well just lay down and die), is that will, determination and dedication wins over pure talent in 99 cases of 100, and that goes for anything, really, not just music. Our songs are simple; we don't need more than 4 or 5 hours to finish them. 5 minutes for 1 song is enough. lol After the "Snuff Bitch Superstar" album is there any upcoming projects that we need to wait and if yes on what label? I see that you have lots of upcoming splits project right now and to make it clear and detailed please kindly tell us more. There are lumps of shit to be excreted on 2009. Our debut Full Length entitled "Bust a Nut on a Slut" CD is going to be under Bukkake Lovers Production... Well, tell us more about this coz besides of your two bands do you have also fanzine and then start a small record label. To run a label is nothing I would recommend if you want to get rich, that's for sure, and as you would expect that was never my aim, I started my own label to further support my bands (Phlegm Thrower and Herpes). Of course, to support the bands most especially the Filipino bands I'm into, I want to give a voice to those who beyond doubt deserve to be heard and I want to spread their music around the globe!!!! Have you meet those rip-offs from Davao that lots of foreign contacts (labels, bands, zine, etc) saying they have been victimized by these bastards and ruin our local scene. What can you say about that issue? That was really a killer experience for me and the guys from Pus Vomit; we really enjoyed our stay at Davao City... Scene wise, it was really good, indeed. Davao Death Fest means a lot to us because it is such a huge happening and it will gather lots of sick fuckers. Tons of killer bands like HUMAN MASTICATION, ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION, INTERNAL TORTURE, GENITAL WARTS, LAMAW, DISASTROUS (Sounds like tsunami, destroying the land), 4 HITS COMBO and more! Good shit! What can you say about our local fanzine today? There is a lot of fanzine sprouting in different genre. Which do you prefer fanzine (paperzine) or webzine? We're in Zine convention last Oct. 15 and I think lots of people there because of not the fanzine but to see band live or just to attend only� what can you say about that? (If I'm wrong well just only is my observation... hmmm!) Good to see that there are more zines today; Patrick of Toxemia just unleashed the first issue of his GLORY EYE ZINE. Be sure to check it out!
