Leon was the first film that I saw with Natalie Portman in it, and to put it mildly she was brilliant. She's very beautiful and talented, and smart by all accounts. Which usually would mean that I would be jealous of her and therefore dislike her.
But this isn't the case. I always feel so much more in awe of actresses/actors etc. who value education above their careers [which makes me sound pretty sad]. I'm sure I read somewhere that Julia Stiles was going to college [but then again I may have just made that up]. Anyway, I know it seems a bit silly to admire someone for that, particularly as the rest of us generally go to college in order that maybe one day we'll earn abut an eighth of what film stars do, but that is part of the reason that I like Natalie Portman.
I wasn't greatly impressed with her performance in Star Wars, but then again that could be down to the script rather than her acting, because even Ewan McGregor couldn't make "You'll be the death of me, Anakin" sound funny/emotional/real etc. [Not putting down Star Wars though because they are classic films, and despite the less than brilliant script in Attack of the Clones I really enjoyed the film].

Anna is someone who always seems really normal in interviews and such, despite having won an Oscar at eleven and starring in major films. The Piano was on television the other day - which I've seen before but watched again - and Anna was so cute [though almost unrecognisable as she is now]. Her brief appearance in She's All That was pretty good, and I love X-Men and X-Men 2. Rogue is a great character [who gets to associate not only with Wolverine but with Iceman too - lucky girl!], and Anna looks great [I really want a coat like the green one she wears in the first film]. I'll have to try and think of some other films I've seen her in. As I said in another section I wish I had gone to see This Is Our Youth when Anna and Hayden Christensen [and Jake Glynnehal] were in it - that must have been an amazing show!

I just like Sarah and that's pretty much it. She just seems like such a genuinely nice person and someone that I would love to have as a friend.
I am not in the slightest bit jealous of her [even if she is with Freddie - they are so cute!]. I admire her - she's talented, attractive, and just lucky I guess. [she's great as Buffy and was brilliant as the bitch in Cruel Intentions].
That's all on Sarah - who just seems like a great girl!!

For some reason or another I have always thought Christina Ricci is brilliant. I have no definite reason for this view and I'm not going to try and think of one.
She is, beyond doubt, a fabulous actress. She isn't conventionally beautiful but there is something in her looks that makes her very attractive, and I love the fact that she isn't afraid to play dark roles. She's another celebrity that I wish I could be.

Now, Claire may be another one who values education but I can't really remember. Either way, Claire is another of my admired actresses. My So-Called Life was fantastic - me and my friends are still hoping that it will be aired again over here, but apparently Channel 4 only had rights to show the series twice, meaning that it is highly unlikely that I will ever get to see it again.
Romeo and Juliet was my favourite film for a long time, and Claire was perfect as the leading lady. I don't know why, and I don't think it's to do with their age, but I place Claire in with my liking of Sarah, Christina and Natalie. I completely admire all of them without a single feeling of jealousy. Envy maybe, to do with my admiration of them and being seriously impressed with how talented and lucky they are.

Katie Holmes will always be labelled as the girl-next-door. Basically I love Dawson's Creek and I think Joey Potter is a brilliant character. She's smart, witty, strong and beautiful [and she dated Pacey]. I think I probably admire Joey more than I admire Katie, but that's down to the fact that I know very little about Katie Holmes.
So, she will always be Joey Potter and I reckon that's a pretty cool way to be known.

I'm not 100% sure why I've included Julia in 'the girls' section, though it most likely has something to do with her role as Kat Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You. Brilliant film. Brilliant character. She was just so good at being the tempestuous girl who wouldn't conform to meet anyone elses expectations. I wish I could be like that character and I suppose that is why I like her.

I guess Sandra doesn't really go with the rest of the girls section simply because she doesn't star in teen films. For some reason or another I really like her. She may not have starred in the greatest films ever but all her performances have been fantastic. Speed was, and still is, one of my favourite films and that would be the first time Sandra Bullock was really noticed.
Another of my favourite films is While You Were Sleeping. And so I guess it helps that I like the films Sandra has starred in. Plus in interviews she always seems so down to earth and funny.

Kate is English and that often counts for a lot in my book. It's a sad reason, but I always admire English actresses/actors etc. that little bit more because I always think it's that little bit harder to really make it. It may not be the case, but I think it seems more difficult to be successful in the film industry if you're English than if you're American simply because America has Hollywood. Hollywood is the centre of it all.
Of course there is a lot more to my admiration of Kate than just her nationality. She is a wonderful actress, she is beautiful and she was Rose DeWitt Bukater. Titanic was a great film and Kate seriously held her own against Leonardo DiCaprio and the special effects. And yes, she is another person I wouldn't mind being *L*.

The woman who became Mrs. Brad Pitt - could I envy her more!? I love Rachel Green - I think she is such a great character who throughout Friends has become more likeable [as opposed to less likeable like ahem monica ahem]. I've only seen a few films with Jennifer in, all of which were okay, but she will always be best known for Friends now, which definitely isn't a bad thing to be remembered for. She's beautiful [in a strange way] and I bet she and Brad will have the most beautiful babies [ahhhh].

She has amazing style and attitude, and she had a fantastic voice. The first thing that stood out about Pink [apart from her hair] was the fact that she could really sing, and she would always sing live on every performance. Add to that the fact that her songs are brilliant and you have a sure success.
