Having been in a good mood to be nice to Britney, I thought I should also take the time to give my view of Christina. She was second [Britney being first], but that didn't make me think she was any less talented or any less worthy of success. I like 'Genie In A Bottle' just as much as '�Baby One More Time'� perhaps even more now. I also love 'What A Girl Wants' and 'Come On Over'.

Christina can sing. That is the bottom line and that is, after all, what it's all about. If records sold simply on voice then Christina would be much more successful than Britney. As it is I guess she seems to be a little inferior. [I think the guys generally prefer Britney because there's a little more to hold on to - that's what my friends tell me anyway and who am I to argue?].

Christina sells well but she can never be the one who did it first. Even if it was only a matter of weeks, Britney beat her to the punch [is that the right term?].

I've heard that Christina can be a bit of a bitch, but hey aren't we all? And that is probably just one account and we all have our off days so cut her some slack. Even if she is, it doesn't make her any less talented or deserving - if she works hard to achieve it.

Perhaps I would like or dislike Christina more if I had a clue what she was like etc., but, unlike with Britney, her private life isn't splashed about everywhere and it seems to be of much less interest to everyone [which is probably lucky for her sake]. So if I knew that Christina was dating my favourite Backstreet Boy or 'N Sync member would I dislike her some of the time [like I do with Britney]?

That's unfair isn't it? That I base my like or dislike on the grounds of who someone is dating, but it seems that by being famous you have to allow for such prejudiced judgements. After all, we are all human and are generally jealous of what we don't have and in an effort to stop that feeling knock whatever it is someone else appears to possess in order to make ourselves feel better.

That's what I do anyway, so I hope I don't seem like a completely unfeeling bitch..? I'm not, I just tend to put down what I'm jealous of. But I can admit to like Christina. She has my respect [that is until she does something to lose it, which is highly possible considering my fickle mind *L*].
