
Suicide Prevention Center, Inc. (SPC) is looking for volunteers to answer its crisis hotline. Volunteers must be 18 years old, reliable and non-judgemental. A minimum of 52 hours of intensive training and a three (3) month apprenticeship is required before a volunteer is fully accepted as a crisis interventionist. Volunteers must put in a minimum of 16 hours per month for at least 2 years. SPC provides on-going monthly training classes. The Suicide Prevention Center is also looking for non-crisis line volunteers. We need volunteers to assist us at fundraising events such as our annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on December 6, 2008, AleFest on February 7, 2009, our 11th annual "Make a Difference...
