Memorial Service
Since May is Suicide Prevention month, every year members of our Survivors of Suicide support group hold a Memorial service at Miami Valley Hospital's non-denominational Chapel. This memorial service is a spiritually-based and uplifting program for all in the community, who would like to remember lives lost to suicide and reaffirm their dedication to lifesaving. The 2009 service was held on Sunday, May 17th.
Holiday Support
Each year, SPC honors its crisis hotline volunteers with a holiday volunteer recognition dinner and special treats for those who work during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays, while other are enjoying time with their families. The 2009 Volunteer Recognition Dinner will be held in December, 2009. Community members showed their support by providing the food and gift items needed and other volunteers helped us put on this dinner.
