North Mayfair is a community of families. We are proud of our work, our schools and our parks. Most of all, however, we are proud to be part of a neighborhood that works together to be a safe place to work, play, and live.
North Mayfair is a quiet, tree-lined community of more than 3,000 households, situated on Chicago's Northwest side. Located in the 39th Ward, our boundaries are Pulaski Road, Bryn Mawr, Cicero, and Lawrence Avenues. Our Alderman is Margaret Laurino. Many of our residents grew up here, moved to different locations, and eventually came back to enjoy the tranquility of North Mayfair.  Others moved from places like Lincoln Park to raise their young families near our parks and open green space. Other residents are nature lovers and have placed their roots here because of our closeness to the Chicago river belt.

Our quiet community is located in Chicago's "Bungalow Belt." Our children attend Palmer Elementary and play in the pool, fieldhouse, baseball diamonds, and the restored wetlands of nearby Gompers Park. LaBagh Woods Forest Preserve is also located in North Mayfair with its 600 acres of picnic groves, open grasslands, heavy forest, and restored prairie savanna.

Each season we find ways to celebrate the beauty and friendly community atmosphere of North Mayfair. Whether working with the garden club, volunteering in the Gompers Park wetlands, or participating in our annual 4th of July parade, there's plenty to do in North Mayfair. We hope you enjoy learning about our part of the city. Please feel free to contact us for more information regarding North Mayfair.
