The North Mayfair Improvement Association (NMIA) was founded in 1929 as a group of residents concerned about our environment, our neighborhood, and the safety and education of our children.  We have over 800 active members and a long history of influence in this area.  We are involved in: 
 

• Monthly meetings - Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at the Gompers Park Fieldhouse on Foster Avenue. Meetings are open to the public.
• The North Mayfair Improver - NMIA publishes a monthly newsletter for all area residents.
• Fourth of July Parade - Each year NMIA runs a parade for local children.
• Garden Club - We maintain several corner and high profile gardens in the North Mayfair area.

Join us! We welcome all visitors and newcomers to our meetings and encourage  you to ask questions about North Mayfair. You can join our organization and vote at all NMIA meetings by paying the $10.00 membership fee. 

The North Mayfair Improvement Association is a group of hardworking Chicagoans concerned about our families, our environment, and our city. It is an exciting endeavor and we encourage you to share your talents and take part in the adventure with us.
