Writings Remember When... | Josh's Poem | Manan's Lyrics Manan here to explain to you what exactly this is all about. During a few classes, I got bored listening to the professors, and instead of falling asleep, I decided to focus on my love of music. So, I sat there going through dozens of songs, trying to find lyrics that rhyme with each other. A mix of pop and funk, classics and new age, this is what I came up with. Guess the songs these lyrics come from, and don t win a prize. Some are coherent when read together, others are not. If you want to add a few more or are wondering where they are from, e-mail it over to me. Tell me what you all think, and if you like, I will definitely add more. Enjoy, kids... Classroom Rhyming Jam SessionsWhere you are is where I want to be, Everyone always wants to discuss me These are the things we talk about, Its only in your head you feel left out. I want to run, I want to hide, See the thorn twist in your side Eat, drink, and be merry, In your eyes are all the things I want to see. Hack up your skirt a little more, Through the storm we reach the shore You know that it would be untrue, Ill wait, with our without you. The heart is abloom, As we lie awake in your bedroom. High, higher than the sun, Girls just want to have fun. Oh, cant you see, you belong to me, Before these crowded streets, there stood the dreaming tree. Lean on me, cause Im blue, Youve given me the best of you, and now I need the rest of you. Oh Mickey, youre so fine. Hit me baby one more time. Dressed up for a big date, like Halloween day, What if a great wave should wash us all away? Only the good die young, And you will stay, forever young. On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, Are you going to the Scarborough fair? And Ill wait for you These five words I swear to you. Snow is falling from the sky, in the middle of July, And all the girlies say I'm pretty fly for a white guy. I will get a glow, He wants to be American-o, American-o. The way you sip your tea, You belong to me. Crimson, and clover, over and over, The white cliffs of Dover. The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire, Girl, we cant get much higher. Thats just the way it is, things will never be the same, Shot through the heart, youre to blame. Shout, shout, let it all out, I m sure youve heard it all before but youve never really had a doubt. |
