A metropolitan area network (MAN) is a high-speed network that connects local area network (LANs) in a metropolitan area such as campuses,

offices and government that are frequently used as links between buildings

ADVANTAGES MAN can enhance data transfer efficiency because it connects many LANs together and increases area coverage
DISADVANTAGES As the network connects many computers over many networks,the connection can at time become quite slow
