Uma and Appa . .

I owe my parents everything. They have given me life, love, shelter, everything a person needs in this world. They provided a path to accomplish anything I wanted. They supported me when I did well and even when I didn't. They taught me the greater values in life which I still cherish today. I love them dearly.

This is my father, Socue Koh (Buddhist name . . Wonkyu). He seems stern and demanding but I have seen him smile and laugh. I believe he has learned an appreciation of life and the ways of the world that many should have.

This is my mother, Bok Hyae Kim. Contrasting my father, she has the most brilliant smile and laugh that people are fortunate enough to have seen and heard. She is bright and happy on the outside but also is wise and knowing. I think she also has a unique perspective and understanding of how we live that benefits all of us.
