The Big Grey Furball . .
|
|
|
Born November 21st, 1994, Bongshim is the first canine to carry the Koh name.
After a full year of pleading for my parent's permission to have a dog, we went in search to the SPCA.
Unfortunately, they had only large, unruly dogs.
I would have loved to have a German Shepard or a Siberian Husky but there were issues.
First, my parents absolutely disliked the idea of a big dog.
Seeing that it was our first, I could understand that.
Second and more importantly, Bongchun was terribly afraid of dogs at that point.
Strangely enough, my parents were still okay with me getting a dog anyway.

She entered my life on cold, dark snowy Groundhog's day, February 2nd, 1995.
When we left the pet store in Montgomery Mall, I remember feeling that it was too cold for the small shivering puppy in the box.
But once we got in the car it was all okay . . hehehehehe, not that the car was warm or anything.
Rather, my mother had took Bongshim out of the box and wrapped her up in her own sweater.
It seemed that she had fallen in love with our cuddley ball of fur on that trip home.
