Ivan
is the son of a beautiful Gypsy and a wealthy English Lord. Labeled a bastard
at birth by his Father, he was content to live amongst his Mother's people,
accepted for who and what he was. That changed when his Mother sold him
for a considerable sum to the relatives of the Englishman that was his
Father, believing that his life would be better with them than with the
poor tribe she had grown up in. Also, he was the only heir to his Father's
vast fortune, and cursed, as he saw it, to hold the title of earl when
he was old enough to claim it.
At the age of five, ripped from his nomadic Family, Ivan was sent to a boarding school. Blyton Hall, nicknamed "Bastard Hall", was where the wealthy offspring society wished to forget or avoid were sent. It was an experience in hell for a young boy. The experiences hehad there made him a fighter by the time he was ten. That cruel, and bitter child grew up to be a charming rake, on the surface. He accepted the title thrust upon him, and came into a vast amount of money and power. Still, his Father's Family despised him, and he felt the same way towards the Englishmen. Society, no less scornful than his own Family, alternately adored and despised him for his wealth and parentage. He had made a game out of seducing London's most eligible and beautiful and leaving them with ruined reputations and no chance for a successful marriage. At the age of thirty, he scandalized society by disowning the Family that had treated him so callously all his life. Soon enough, Ivan tired of the society he was forced to
live in, and turned to working out his frustrations on the battlefields
around the world. Unconsciously, he searched for his Gypsy tribe, his Family,
but has
On his many travels, he came into contact with Alexander Therion. They became comrades in war, brothers in battle, and eventually, Sire and Childe. Ivan has spent his time in the Middle East as a freelance
mercenary for hire for the terrorists groups there.
