When visiting Russia on a diplomatic venture in 1930, when he was 30 years of age, Nathaniel von Lichtenstein met Nezvolena Hemithanes. Nathaniel was instantly infatuated with Nezvolena, but was doubly blessed when introduced to Roxanne, Nezvolena's beautiful sister. He was in love with both, which was unusual for the Baron, for before meeting the Sisters, he was only in love with himself.

Roxanne and Nezvolena Embraced Nathaniel simultaneously, for the close sisters could not choose which should be his Mistress. Being duely Embraced, Nathaniel gained much influence... the influence and experience of two prestegious vampiresses. The young fledgeling took well to his new life and was a great joy in the lives of his Sister Mistresses.

He was, however, a vain and spiteful man. As a vampire, his spite turned to pestulence, and because of this, he made his Makers proud. When he hunted, he hunted for pleasure; food was just a plus in his eyes. He has a quirk, however, for Nathaniel will NOT consume male victims, with no regard to the Hunger. Female blood is the ONLY blood. He prefers virginous blood, perhaps because of Nezvolena's virginous presence, but due to the lack of abstinence, Nathaniel is forced to feed on tainted blood.

Nathaniel sees human men as the Opiate of Vampires, for he feels that, perhaps due to the predominant female influence in his life, that human men are only for the pleasures of Hemithane women. He feels that he is the predominant male in his Clan, and aspires to one day be King Hemithanes, due to his noble upbringing.

Nathaniel never told his Mistresses this, but he dreams about them constantly. Not in any sort of preminitory state, but in a sense of sexual urge. He longs to seduce them in such a manner that they will break to his will, and give him what he pleases... the pleasures of being with them. He also, being a Hemithanes, longs for their status.
