As
the eldest child of Andrew MacTavish, Perceus - or Percy as his family
calls him - has been the head of the MacTavish family Watchers since 1991.
The Watcher lines in the MacTavish family have gone back almost 500 years
to just after the family name changed to what it is now. According the
Scottish tradition the lines of succession follow the female lines, and
so Percy's father was never a Watcher ... he inherited his role from his
aunt's family.
Percy was born in Scotland and raised half in the highlands, and half in London where his father - Andrew - was Head Curator of Greek and Roman Antiquities for the Royal Museum. Andrew stayed in London most of the time and the children - who were all named after Ancient Greek or Roman figures - were schooled and raised in their home in Dundee by their mother Mary. The strong, silent type - Percy is a man of war. He loves to fight and he and his sister Medea, who he runs the family with now, balance each other well because of his love of fighting and her strategic mind. He loves his sisters very much and he and Hadrian are each other's best friends. Percy is always moving from one conquest to the other - despite his sisters' disapproval but he's far from a knave. With three sisters, he would never live down being the 'love em and leave em' type, but he does like to play the field. Handsome and dark he is an imposing man of 6'2" with thick
Scottish hands and piercing dark eyes.
