Aurora was born in a small village just outside of the city of Ontario. Her mother looked to the sky to help relieve the pain of childbirth, and upon glancing, saw the Aurora Borealis. Henceforth, the child would take on the name of the celestial lights.

It was not until Aurora was seventeen that she felt hatred toward anything. While making dinner for her family, she heard the piercing cries of her mother's death. Running outside on little more than instinct, Aurora witnessed a vampire feeding off her beloved mom. She, wielding her butcher's knife she was using to prepare dinner, decapitated the vampire.

Having no family, Aurora made her way to New York City, chasing vampires, following trails of bloodless corpses. She met Arnand Jacobs, whose kind heart took her under his wing.
