Livia, as a child of nine, witnessed her Father's bloody proclivities, just as she witnessed the gruesome death of her Mother as she fell victim to her husbands penchant for blood. By the time she was nineteen, Livia was a dark character, irreparably twisted in her childhood to create a ruthless tyrant of a woman. At the time, she was also Savio Di Nerezza's lover and prospective childe. Savio had recognized the ruthlessness and propensity towards violence in the young woman.

Five years later, Livia took control of the Diavolo Families business from her Father. While her Father balked at a woman running his empire, Livia kept him under tight control by providing blood dolls and fresh virgins to satisfy his lusts. She had forbidden any of the Di Nerezza to Embrace the man, as Livia did not want her Father to linger too long. In truth, she was ready for the man to be dead.

By the time she was 30, Livia was the childe/lover of Savio Di Nerezza, and a powerful member of the Di Nerezza Clan. By the time the Di Nerezza Clan began it's internal conflict, Livia had secured her place as Canio's, but mostly Savio's, ally and fought alongside those loyal to him to secure the throne under the Italian line. From then on, she was looked upon as a daughter to Savio, despite her ongoing affair with him. Such things were common.

Unlike the Clan, Livia remained in Italy instead of moving to Los Angeles, as there were still many skirmishes to be fought. Along with taking up a position as Enforcer, Livia took over the Families (both Di Nerezza and Diavolo) businesses in Italy for the next hundred years.

When news of the plague reached her, it was too late for Livia to do anything save grieve alongside her Family. She has left Italy only recently after securing their holdings and leaving them in the hands of her capable ghouls, to journey to New York to be with the Family, and most of all, her Sire.
