the Violin. The Beauty of Sound of the Ruckers Instruments Resulting
from their Excellent Design and the Care
Exercised in the Making of the Soundboard
and Bridges made them Famous at the End
of the Seventeenth Century and Throughout

Their Small Standard-Model was Onemanual,
8´,4´, C/E-c³, Length 183 cm and had
been Built nearly Unalterd over 3
Generations until the Year 1654.
The 1624
Ioannes Ruckers has aligned keyboards and "petit
ravalement" of a normal two manual harpsichord.
Compass is GG,AA-d3, 8'8'4', lute stop, manual
coupler, length 225 cm. The strings are made of brass,
bronce and tombak; all pins are goldplated.
The Both Loud-Registers
are together Strong Enough for
Orchestra-Continuo Playing; the Sound
Colour is Dark but Bright Enough to be
Over the Violins and Wind-Instruments and
Therefore the Harpsichord do not Mix with
them and Remains Audible.
It is Dark Enough for French Music like Louis and Francois
Couperin, Chambonnieres, dÁnglebert.
