Niketa Lodge Mares

Our mares have been carefully selected for their temperament, versatility, trainability and soundness. Each is treated with the special care and attention they deserve, and in return they reward us with excellent results in every field.

"Magic Sun Dancer"

Darling Sun Prince x Koolmundoola Magic Lass

AAA58476 - Bay leopard mare, 15.3hh, born 1992. Nevada is one in a million - a versatile riding horse, just as happy in the show ring, at an ODE, dressage or showjumping competition, trail riding through the bush, rounding up stock, even teaching people to ride! She has an older foundation bloodline not seen often these days, and will hopefully continue to produce winning horses. She comes from a long line of colour-producers on both sides of her pedigree, including Unaka Sun, Candy Spot Kid and Nevada Little Joe. She also has a thoroughbred ancestor in Tauloch, making her 1/8 thoroughbred and the ideal sport horse. Nevada is due to foal in January 2009.

A highlight has been Runner-up AAA High Point Performance Horse NSW/ACT 2007/08.

"Yallawa Fashion Princess"

WJ Beyond the Stars x Bar Vee Montoyas Dream

AAA60396 - Chestnut/red dun leopard mare, 14.2hh, born 2004. Elle is extremely well-bred, along the famous "Dream" lines (Beyond Our Dreams, Mega Dream, Dreamfinder etc). She, like her mother, will hopefully produce foals with excellent colour and also pass on her fantastic temperament. She has had excellent results in the show ring and dressage arena (see achievements page), including 4th place AAA High Point Performance Horse NSW/ACT, and is due to commence some jumping work in mid 2009 once her foal is weaned. Her first foal is due in January 2009.

"Yallawa Caramel Kisses"

Sirrahvale Rock on Arny x BP Rockn Roxette

Double registered, AAA-AB60492, BHA N0713SB. Solid buckskin with characteristics, born 2005. Should mature around 15.2hh. Honey has been served in November 2008, awaiting testing. She is due to be broken to saddle in early 2009 to commence her saddle career. Her striking colour and movement should produce the results in any field, and hopefully she will pass these on to her foals. Honey's bloodlines include a double cross to the legendary Brother Dier, and she is a grand-daughter of champion stallion Rock-A-Son.

Pictured below in paddock condition, thanks to Yallawa Appaloosas for the last two photos.
