The Druagh as a player race in the world of Arborea Interactive
The Druagh as a player race in Arborea are really no different in essence to Half-Elves,
the difference lies in the outlook, history and religion of this particular group of half-elves.
To give a reference point, The Druagh have a loose connection to ideas from both the DrowTM of D&DTM Fame and
also the folklore and lifestyles of the Norse and Celtic cultures. The document Druagh Player Guide
will help you further in understanding how this race is portrayed within the Arborea Game World

What are the Druagh?
The Druagh are a mysterious, insular race of celtic half elven warriors
who inhabit a hidden underground honeycomb of interlinked cities veiled deep underground, below the Glens. The Druagh
rejection of the surface dwellers and reputation as fierce fighters with an unswerving dedication
to their harsh reptilian Goddess, St, has earned them the fear and distrust of the surface races.
- Rarely seen above ground, and almost never involving themselves in the affairs of the overlanders,
save to meet for trade in their massive market halls "Ynnyd Vargee" four times a year; if a Druagh war-party are encountered outside of Caaghyr Ooig, it is likely a portent
of oncoming war. As the Druagh pay no respect to the overland races, seeing them as underdeveloped and underskilled
as anything less than slaves, any overland conflict featuring the Druagh will be bloody, involving the deaths of foes and innocents alike.
- Druagh society is matriarchal, with males deferring and acting subservient to the females, who act as the priests
and spiritual mouthpieces of the Goddess. The Druagh females tend to be cruel, calculating individuals, with a hunger for power.
They tend to be the most intellectual of the race as well, but this is not always a precedant, many males have knowledge and skills
far outreaching those of the females. However, this never gives them the status that the females enjoy or abuse
