The role of the Druagh in the Rebellion Campaign

So far, very little is known about why the Druagh have chosen to send a war-party to the surface to aid in the rebellion. The members of the war-party, the fanatic Clan Vannin, are often heard to utter "our ways run together, for now...." and it has been rumoured amongst the rebels that the Druagh are finally joining the battle because this latest victory by the Guild Empire has brought them into a position to threaten Caaghyr Ooig, the Cavernous home of the Druagh. Other, more studious members of the rebellion have been heard to put forth the theory that this latest aspiration of the Guild Empire has brought them within reaching distance of the Mythic elven lands, that the Druagh have some kind of ancestral tie with that ancient race, and that defence of the Elven Lands is the real reason the Druagh have surfaced at this particular time.... Still others are suspicious that the Druagh have used this distraction merely to take advantage of the Surface Dwellers, to take their revenge against their Ancestors in the Tribe of the Cobra and the Elves, and to further the influence of their insidious Goddess, spreading evil and destruction into the surface world...

Whatever the reason, the Druagh have made an impact in the first conflict that the rebels of King Tobias' Lands have fought with the Empire.... Both hampering the empire in fierce combat, and causing friction between themselves and House Allectus, the Druagh are both a useful tool and a dangerous ally... it still waits to be seen how this double edged sword will cut.

CLAN VANNIN

As mentioned before, the Druagh war-party who have chosen to assist the rebellion are made up of a Clan known as "Clan Vannin"
This clan are the most fervent in the worship of their Druagh Snake-Goddess - St. It is perhaps because of this that they have achieved their place in the ruling council and many Druagh perceive Clan Vannin to be blessed by the Dark Goddess. Clan Vannin are a highly strategic clan, with a powerful standing army. They are valued by the Druagh in combat as their fighting style has been developed from a form of meditative Dance meaning they fight in perfect unison.
Amaryll Vannin

Amar'yll is the High Priestess of Clan Vannin, and therefore sits alongside her 9 sisters of the other ruling clans upon the Druagh Council of Caaghyr Ooig.
Power sits in her hands calmly and cooly, like she handles a coiled Viper with all the knowledge of a reptile herself. Her demeanour is just as cold and calm, and she would think nothing of slipping that Viper into the hands of one she knows would be bitten, to suffer a slow and painful demise. Amaryll speaks little, but when she does every syllable drips intelligence and poison, belittling the males that surround her and dismissing the overlanders for the weak vessels that they are.
Amary'll is a High-Priestess and one of the most powerful of the Children of St. clan Vannin is considered blessed by St and seem to receive most of her gifts and favour, making them the envy of all the other clans of Caaghyr Ooig. This is directly because of Amar'yll and her unswerving dedication to St and her edicts.

Rivka Vannin
Rivka is a 1st Generation druagh, and sports the Red-irises of the Pure-bloods, He is the Weaponsmaster of Clan Vannin and considers himself the second mouthpiece in the Vannin warparty. Rivka's history is strange, in that he was sold to Mistress Vannin in trade for the protection of another Clan during a Clan invasion which threatened to eradicate Clan Tendreil. He has adapted well to his change in life, and serves Clan Vannin as his own. However, he still wears his old Clan Tartan (Clein breck) as a smock, a mark of respect to those he was born to. He speaks often and at length, offering his, and the Druagh opinion on anything that he experiences. Rivka has trained the whole of Clan Vannin in the use of their respective weapons and his own ability is unsurpassed, though Ferrik shows a talent for swordplay which, given time, may outshine even Rivka's skills. Rivka angers easily, and though he does not show it, many grudges are etched into his memory, simply waiting for the appropriate time of release. He is a Fierce and capable warrior, and fights with astonishing skill, but without emotion..and encourages all of Clan Vannin to do the same.

Ferrik Vannin
Ferrik was trained from an early age by the barracks of Clan Vannin to best protect the Clan by steel and sword. Being one of the more astounding guardians of Clan Vannin, he was selected to be their representative by Rivka in the gladitorial fighting pits of Caaghyr Ooig to show the might and power that they could wield. This is a great honour considering that Ferrik is only 3rd generation Druagh. Many a victim has fallen to the blade of Ferrik, be it the creatures from below or would be usurpers of the Clan. He is fairly silent and brooding, unless he is deriding the simple or weak overlanders and is fearless in battle. But he is dedicated to Clan Vannin and therefore his Mistress. He sees this emergance into the realms above as yet another test for improving his skills of war and perhaps rising through the ranks of Clan Vannin.

Laistigney Vannin
Laistigney is a battle mage within clan Vannin. He is still young but his talent for magic earned him a place within the Clan Vannin battle party that came to the surface tlo fight the empire. He is notably the son of Clan Vannin's mistress Amary'll and the result of an unwanted pregnancy from a now deceased mate. Even for a Druagh he is highly cocky , arrogant and sports a temper which only a mistress seems to be able to put in check. He also seems to have a particular rivalry for his mother's affections with her new mate Vestarr. Although he prefers to blast Clan Vannin's enemies from the back of the battle field he is also skilled in fighting with his staff.

Vestarr Vannin
Vestarr is a 3rd generation Draugh male from a family line of priestesses. Like most Vestarr spent his early years in the barracks. He left when a mage recognised his potential powers and had him transferred to the academy to become an apprentice mage. He won the favour of Amary'll and has been chosen as her protector and mate. Dissappointed with her last, male, offspring Amary'll hopes that since Vestarr is from a line of noble priestesses he may be able to give her the female heir she needs. His demeanor tends to be that of a noble, as a mate to a priestess and a mage he tends to expect others to get their hands dirty fighting. Having not trained in combat for long, Vestarr is not a great warrior and knows it, so rarely fights, concentrating on defence and his magic to support the warriors. Vestarr is seen here leading Clan Vannin, following the Ghost of a priestess of Lumina attemptin to find a lost relic...
