THE APOCALYPSE has always been one of my most favorite paintings because the rich colours that the Greek mythological scene exhibits is uniquely different from most other single tone paintings that I paint.

It took me about 3 weeks to complete this 5 feet tall painting. It has been a composition made of many different sculptures, dance poses, and from styles of renaissance artists. Photoshop and Corel were extensively used to compose this scene, character by character, and positioning them appropriately to fill the canvas and not look cluttered. The central figures are inspired from Boucher's medieval work, and the rest, including the unicorn is out of my imagination and so is the cupid with the bow. Many people say the central character shows a strong resemblance to me!
"the Apocalypse", 7x5 feet, age when completed : 15, medium : Oil on Canvas, time taken : 3 weeks, original : Antwerp, Belgium
