THE DESCENT (from the cross) is probably one of my best early paintings. I had completed this painting when I was 15, and the District Artists' Association of over 2000 members gave me a special prize for this picture, and it became quite popular when it was published in the local newspapers.

Although it took me about 3 weeks to complete this 5 feet tall painting, I still never feel satisfied when I look at it and always 'retouch them' whenever I get 'the mood' ! The original inspiration that I had in drawing this, was from the Flemish Artist, Peter Paul Rubens who's actual picture hangs majestically at the Cathedral of Antwerp, Belgium.
