Ha Long Bay
Local legend says that long ago when the Vietnamese were fighting Chinese invaders, the gods sent a family of dragons to help defend the land.  the family of dragons descended upon Ha Long Bay ("Bay of Descending Dragons") and began spitting out jewels & jade.  These jewels turned into islands dotting the bay, linking together to form barriers against the invaders.  However, Ha Long Bay is probably more widely know now because it was featured on "The Amazing Race 10."
These limestone islands have been eaten away by the sea to form beautiful skylines, interesting caves, and sometimes, even shortcuts.
A real island to themselves.  :-)  You can see the house.  I bet you can see the small light blue boat that brings fresh water to the house.  But can you see the blue 50 gallon barrels in the middle of the shoreline?  That's where the fresh water for their house is stored.
