Text is taken from local newspaper «Artemovsky-PLUS» (issue # 21/10099, May 27, 2005)

A lot of people meets them: parents, friends, familiar, schoolmates, holy father Nikolay from Holy Trinity church, representatives of city authority, correspondents of local mass-media. Here and here camcorders record the arrival. There and here we can hear photo cameras' clicks. That's the way we meet stars, celebrities. That's the way we meet in our city guys from club of fighting arts "Diamond of Truth" and their friends from club "Gladiator" from Talitza. Such meeting on "highest level" has been organized because they represented Russia on the second Cup of the world and the VIIth international karate and kobudo tournament, taking place from May 2 to 9, 2005 in Odessa (Ukraine).

Tournament was visited by more than 800 participants from 17 countries. 27 medals have been brought home by six sportsmen from Artemovsky and eight sportsmen from Talitza. (Talitza club is branch of ours, therefore their successes are inseparable and please us as well). Our students Nikita Sukhanov, Oleg Zelvert, Eugeny Ozerov, Maxim Popov, Kirill Sitnik have brought several medals each and guys from Talitza have kept abreast with them.

But the main thing, - trainer V.G. Sitnik says, - not medals and not awards. The main thing that we try to bring up people spiritual, strong, courageous, ready to any situations of life. Spirit, strength, skill are basics of Personality. If we (as teachers) do not give this basics to our students in their childhood then they could not become strong-spirit persons.
Alexander Borisovich ZINUROV, the trainer of club "Gladiator":
Our task not only to train a body, but also to bring up character. One our young boy 12 years old just during one fight three times have been struck at nose. His contender was from Azerbaijan and was taller and accordingly stronger. He does a dash - our young boy seizes as a cat but does not fall. At last contender from Azerbaijan has become awfully angry and punched ours with forbidden technique. And our student show nothing, has finished adequately fight, has bowed, has left tatami and after that bent, seized himself abdomen and has begun to bellow from an awful pain - man's character.

And that what sportsmen say.
Alexander KOBELEV, 12 years (club "Gladiator"), gold and silver medals:
- It is very difficult to overcome the excitement, fear and when you are in high spirits you can show good fight. When I fight I certainly do not think that I represent Russia but during awarding procedure I am pride that I, ordinary young boy from such a small city, fight for all Russia. Karate training give me very much - in physical progress - I am a head above the contemporaries, my personality became firmer, stronger.
Konstantin SAMKOV, 16 years (club "Gladiator"), two gold medals:
- It is difficult to fight in team competitions - it is very big responsibility you fight not only for yourself. I practice karate for 8 years, my character became more tempered.

Yes, trainers temper guys in all senses.
- In the winter on the Christening (Baptism) we dip in an ice-hole, - V.G. Sitnik tells, - with us together do it holy father Nikolaay from Holy Trinity church. In general we all time communicate with him, he is our holy instructor, brings cultural values, traditions to our guys.

Our team celebrated Victory Day (May 9) in "city the hero" Odessa. They visited monuments, saw military parade, talked to veterans. Guys were deeply impressed. The 60-anniversary celebration of the Victory in "city the hero" Odessa was bright, remarkable.
- Taking a case, I congratulate you the 60-anniversary of the Victory Day and all frontier guards with coming Frontier guard Day. I was in the army as frontier guard. And I know that frontier guards take the first impact in any war.
- The help and support of youth affairs commmittee of our municipal formation, P.I. Korzhavin and our students' parents was very opportunely for us, -
V.G. Sitnik continues - I'd like to thank those parents who understand their child needs, support the child, as often as possible go with him to competitions and seminars. The trainer is not the nurse and if trainer is not supported by parents he could not make that we could make together - to bring up, to build up the Person.
Our students had an opportunity to have a rest, look over Odessa - a beautiful city, even to swim in the sea though the swimming season did not begin yet, and local inhabitants looked with surprise at the Ural boys fearlessly swimming in fairly cold sea.

Competitions and won medals and awards celebrations have ended, and they make a start everyday heavy work which result should be the Person.

If there will be any comlains from newspaper «Artemovsky-PLUS» I shall be ready to discuss them.
