"C'mon, I think we really need a Backstreet tune for one of the routines." Dan, their choreographer, was pacing the gym. "It would really help keep things current!"

"But, what one would we use?" asked Elisha.

She was one of the lead dancers for the group. Brunette, short, but slim, pretty, but not outstandingly beautiful, she stood there and challenged Dan.

"We have enough group numbers and Jeff and I don't need any more duets."

Jeff, her partner was on the other side of the room greeting some people entering the gym.

"No, I'm not sure how much longer we'll be using the gym today." Jeff was saying. "We usually have it until 5:30pm, but things aren't working out today. You're welcome to stay and watch though, if you want. An audience sometimes helps a routine come together."

Brian looked at Nick. "What do you want to do, Frack?"

Nick thought about what awaited him back in the hotel room. "Do you mind if we stay for awhile?" he asked. "I don't really want to go back yet."

"No problem." said Jeff. "You can sit over here and there's coffee and stuff on the table there. Take it easy."

"Well, let's pop in the CD and see what appeals!" Dan said.

Elisha laughed and grabbed her pile of CDs. She loved the music of the Backstreet Boys and as a rule all their CDs travelled with her. She and Dan started to sort through them.

"I thought these guys only had two CDs out!" he moaned. "It's gonna take forever to go through all these!"

Elisha popped the "Millennium" CD into the player and jacked the volume.

Brian and Nick both started when AJ manical laugh rang through the room.

"Uh, no." Dan said, and pressed the button for the next song. Elisha pushed his hand away and set the player ahead by four more songs.

"This one is awesome!" she praised. "And, we could make like Jeff hates me."

Jeff moved over, grabbed her by the waist and spun her around. "That shouldn't be too difficult!"

"Who are those guys?" Elisha gestured over to Nick and Brian.

"Oh, I think they wanted to play some basket-ball or something. They're gonna hang out and watch. Is that okay with you?"

She turned to see what Dan was doing. "He must like "Don't Want You Back", looks like he has 1/2 of it mapped out already!" She nodded her head towards the newcomers. "I'll be right back."

Elisha stuck her hand out in front of Brian. He looked up startled. "Oh, hi, I must have been lost in thought!"

"That thrilling, huh?" She moved her hand over to Nick. "Hi, I'm Elisha, part of this whole shebang here and you are?"

Nick stood and shook her hand. "I'm Nick, and dreamer boy here, that's Brian."

"Well, nice to meet you, stay as long as you like." Elisha said nonchalantly. "We should be getting to work shortly, he's inspired now!" She turned casually, to walk back the group, but she was jumping up and down inside. "Oh my God, that's Nick Carter! What on earth is he doing here? Nick Carter! Holy shit!"
