With the large number of enchantments in Conquest and with an increase in high quality nonbasic lands, Duststorm will almost define red control decks. And there are red enchantments in Conquest to go along with Kindling Embers so that Duststorm can be played maindeck. There is an uncommon red sorcery in Conquest that is part of a three card cycle that will give you some control in the “reveal” effects for cards like Charbrand Hulk and Shouting Match. Of the three cards in the cycle, the red is the most combo friendly (the black one is for Spike, and the green one is for Timmy.) As shown last week, Sunmage Diplomacy can misuse Conquest’s Stronghold lands in order to pinpoint the exact effect you’re looking to achieve. Finally, Caller of the Hunt plays well with a certain zero to play common equipment card in Conquest.
