There is a common green creature in Conquest that I think will create the engine needed to break Empty Hunger. Empty Hunger will also interact well with all the cards in Conquest that have the Spite ability word. Woescribe will find a home in many decks also, given Conquest Black’s emphasis on putting things into the graveyard only to pull them out again later to replay. In the same way, Soul Knife will provide extra reach in any Weenie decks that happens to run Conquest Black cards. Desperate Bargain is only a common, but its use with Inevitable Renewal almost made me pull the rare. (Flashfrozen Fields also tempted me to pull the rare, though it made it through development untouched and unerrata’d.) Mark of Sorrow should provide needed board control in any white deck running Spectral Retainer. Covenant of Pain will minimize the card disadvantage created by Brutish Werewolf.
