About The Author:
Bert Abbazia is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He grew up in the "colony" section in rural Chatham Township. He was a product of the great depression, never the less, he enjoyed a care-free life with vivid memories of his childhood and childhood hero.
His most vived memory was of William Kondrat, his neighborhood hero. For seventy three years the memory of a day in July 1933 had been etched in the author's mind.
The amazing story was "always there, and I had to tell it".
