NIAGARA IN THE WORLD OF DARKNESS
Before we delve into the secret history of the Niagara Region, I�d thought we would cover the current state of the area (this works out well for those of you who are impatient) so with out further adieu I give you Niagara in the World of Darkness....

GENERAL
St. Catharines and the Niagara Region as a whole is much more urbanized due to Kindred influence. Niagara is much closer in appearance to Toronto in our world. Green spaces such as parks, wooded areas and farms are much for limited due to urban sprawl.
ARTS
Organizations such as NAC, BCA, and Rodman Hall are all larger but their budgets are proportionately not quite as large. They are about as active in NBT as they are in our world.
CRIME
Niagara in NBT serves as gateway for American crime into Canada. Hells Angels and the Outlaws are much more active, as are various crime syndicates. Personal crime such as rape, murder, and theft are all up as well.
GOVERNMENT
The Municipal government is merely larger in terms of personnel to deal with city maintenance and upkeep. Overall MPP�s represent more people per riding. Bureaucrats are only slightly more corrupt in NBT.
HEALTHCARE
As a result of a larger population, the ER�s of existing hospitals are bigger and more extensively staffed. This does not mean, however, that they are any better equipped. In fact, due to conservative cuts they are a bit worse.
NBT does boast a third Hospital on Fourth Ave., one that is still in planning in our world. Walk-in and emergency clinics are more plentiful also.
INCOME
The citizens of Niagara average out roughly to be lower middle class. However, this is due to uneven distribution of wealth. Simply put, the rich are richer and the poor are poorer. As much as 25 - 30 % of Niagara is unemployed and on welfare. While 15 - 20 % of the population controls as much 40 - 45% of the wealth.
