Responsible for:

  • 80 workstations and servers relocation

  • NT domains migration

I was responsible for NT domains Migration and Servers and Workstations relocation: Worked with the ESD team to establish a T1 connection between sites, Install and configure a Backup Domain Controller (BDC) and DHCP server, rolled out the server to the new site and ensured connectivity between domain controllers across the WAN link. Performed ground work of wiring the patch panel to the HP 80-port switch. Relocated 80 workstations and servers to the new site, made changes to the systems followed the new naming conventions and joined all the workstations and servers to the new domain.

Migrated user accounts, service accounts, computer accounts and group accounts to the new domain in which file level permissions, user profiles and home directories were updated to reflect the new domain security ID (SID), performed testing, all users gained their resource access as they were in the previous domain.
