Next-Generation Online: Snow Scores Giants

Mark Snow has signed an agreement to compose the music for Interplay's massively anticipated action title, Giants: Citizen Kabuto.

"At last we have found someone capable of bringing a level of quality and style to Giants," stated game developer and President of Planet Moon Studios, Nick Bruty. "Having Mark on board helps raise the audio visual quality of PC games to a true cinematic level, he seems a natural fit for the style of game we are making."

Snow is best known for his theme and music scores for The X-Files, and this agreement marks his first entry into the interactive entertainment industry. Negotiating the deal for Snow, were Bob Rice of Four Bars Intertainment and Charles Deenen for Interplay.

"Mark has gained world wide attention as one of today's most talented, innovative and successful film and television composers and we are fortunate to have him on our side," beamed Interplay CEO, Brian Fargo.

"The entertainment and interactive industries are very much alike. A computer game has the same elements as a movie or TV series, it needs to have compelling music to gain the players attention and Giants definitely has this," added Snow. "I love playing PC and video games at home with my friends and wanted to be a part of this growing industry."

Giants is expected to ship this Summer for PC.
